Second time in the last six weeks, I have been to Da Flora and this time I brought guests from both Spain and North Carolina! All were impressed as I have been raving to all about the food: Gnocchi in an addictive cream sauce , eggplant Crostini, and an out of this world prawn entree! A small, but expertly curated Italian/domestic wine list was just perfect. And the service and ambience of this little neighborhood gem was both casual and elegant ! At the corner of Filbert and Columbus, (across from Washington Square in San Francisco's North Beach! Call ahead to get a reservation because it's a cozy & popular neighborhood spot, so you want to make sure they can accommodate you ! If it's delicious & authentic Italian food and a cool North Beach vibe you want Da Flora is the place!

Da Flora is delicious. I've walked past it a couple of times and the menu has always looked fresh and interesting. I finally got the chance to try it last night, and it was one of the best meals I've had this year. We had the cucumber salad, sweet potato gnocchi, and pappardelle with lamb bolognese. All of which were phenomenal. The gnocchi will be on my mind for the foreseeable future. The service was also perfect. We were never without a full glass of wine, plates were whisked away as soon as we finished with them, and the servers themselves were beyond sweet and kind. Da Flora is a cozy lovely spot perfect for a date night, and I will be back asap (helpfully before the gnocchi leave).

We came to Da Flora, on the recommendation of our friend. Parking will be difficult as it always is in North Beach. Service was impeccable! Here's what we ordered: - crostini with favio being purée and crab - butter lettuce with strawberry and Gorgonzola dressing - spaghetti and meatballs in marinara. - linguine carbonara We also had a lovely bottle of Italian red. Because we were so stuffed from dinner, we had to skip dessert. This is a lovely neighborhood Italian restaurant. We enjoyed a lovely dinner here and would recommend Da Flora.

The place so cute and intimate. I would recommend it for a date. The highlight of the meal is definitely the wine - it's called primitivo. The risotto was very fresh with seasonal veggies like asparagus and peas. I didn't like the seabass - it was a bit too dry

Me and one of my girlfriends are determined to find the best gems in North Beach and this was certainly one of them. From the moment we arrived, the service was extremely friendly and sat us down quickly. Food came within the normal amount of time frame as you would expect, and it had a very warm, cozy, date night atmosphere. And the food..... really top tier stuff. They taste as almost your eating from an Italian mother's kitchen. First off, even the bread drizzled in their house olive oil was so good, that we bought two plates. Next we had our entrees, which were a whole other wonderful experience in itself. The Asiago stuffed ravioli was very well cooked and had an amazing pea shoot and pesto sauce that complimented the pasta. The housemade meatballs just melted in your mouth and honestly - we almost licked the plate clean. (If that gives you any indication of how good it truly was.) If you're ever in the neighborhood you should definitely consider at this gem!

Had an amazing outdoor meal! Food was 10/10 and service was great as well. Would definitely come back here! Really appreciated the very strong heating lamp because it was a typically cold, windy SF evening. We peeked into the indoor dining area and it looked cute and intimidate. The outdoor dining area was standard - very casual, rustic look and slightly slanted because of the curved sidewalk.
